We have Heard Quite Much About FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 Face Masks, What Are Exactly FFP1, FFP2, FFP3 About ?
According to PBE-Regulation (EU) 2016/425, and based on the Standard : EN 149:2001+A1:2009, Particle filtering half masks are classified according to their filtering efficiency and their maximum total inward leakage. There are three classes of devices:
FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3
The Number followed by FFP shows the Protection level of the filtering half mask. The protection provided by an FFP2 or FFP3 Face Mask includes that provided by the device of lower class or classes.
In addition, particle filtering half masks are classified as single shift use only or as re-usable (more than one shift). If it is FFP2 NR, It means this protective mask is NOT Reusable. If it is FFP2 R. That means the Face Mask is Reusable. In most cases, the respirator mask of FFP2 is disposable and cannot be reused. Buda-U FFP2 is the face mask respirator that is NOT Reusable. Therefore, The Buda-U FFP2 Masks need to be stated clearly on the Packings and the Mask Surface with "NR".
